Julie, our translator and proofreader (English to French) combines her technical expertise with her translation activities to provide translation and proofreading services in the following areas:

Website localization:
Translation of your entire website including all the metadata information as well as the HTML attributes "alt" and "title".

Technical documents:
Translation and proofreading of technical documentation such as user's guides (software manuals, product manuals), handbooks, technical patents, papers, articles, publications.

Other documents:
Translation and proofreading of company procedures, staff handbooks, press releases, marketing emails.

Julie passed the following exams and obtained the following qualifications:

• (January 2010) Technology Paper (with Merit) and Science Paper of the Diploma in Translation (DipTrans) of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (IoLET).
• (November 2002) Master of Science (MSc) in Distributed and Multimedia Information Systems (DMIS) from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
• (November 2002) Master's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications and Computing from CPE Lyon, French Graduate School.

She completed the following training:

• (January 2009 to December 2009) Preparation of the Diploma in Translation (DipTrans) with City University, London. 3 modules + Summer Term module. Awarded 60 credits. Eligible for the Certificate in Continuing Studies.
• (September 2001 to September 2002) Preparation of the MSc in DMIS at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
• (September 1998 to September 2002) Student at CPE Lyon, France.
• (September 1996 to September 1998) Classes Préparatoires CPE Lyon (Post "A" Level classes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, in preparation for CPE Lyon).

Profile

Julie is a native French speaker. She was born in France where she lived before moving to the United Kingdom in 2000. Julie has got a background in science and technology. She is a highly qualified Web Consultant with a good industry experience on a wide range of web projects, involving in particular the design and development of websites and web applications. Julie provides services for the translation and proofreading of scientific and technical documents from English to French. She uses her web expertise to provide services for the localization of websites and software.
